Japanese Garden
The Japanese garden is growing in popularity as people try to add spiritual elements to their homes and lives. These gardens are all about the layout and content; the plants, bridges, and placement of stones and gravel all affect the flow.
One thing you will not generally see in one of these gardens is a fountain. The water should be running naturally, and if it wasn’t to start with, the garden’s creator will try very hard to make it look as natural as possible. In some gardens there is no water. Sand and gravel is used to give a similar water-effect.
Making Japanese gardens is gaining popularity again, and there are many books on the subject now. If you are interested in making one of these gardens, be sure to read up on their subtle differences before you start working on it. Also get in touch with a nursery that specializes in these gardens if at all possible.
